A Night in Vice City
The Miami Heat host A Night in Vice City on Wednesday, November 18 at 7:00 p.m. at Kaseya Center, the evening before release. The team has promised a special court, a uniform never worn before in franchise history, and game-night programming built around GTA 6.
The sign on the roof
A large "Welcome to Vice City" sign with the pink VI logo now sits on the arena roof. Reports put its cost at about $975,000. Guides describe it as a seasonal campaign piece rather than a permanent landmark.
Inside the arena
Fans have posted photos of a Burger Shot stand and Macca the Gator posters inside Kaseya Center. That part comes mostly from social media, so treat the details as reported rather than confirmed.
Not everyone in Miami is happy
Miami-Dade commissioners approved the marketing deal in September, but it drew criticism. Some officials objected to presenting Miami as a crime capital, and questions about the ad deal have come up again this month.
From Miami to Vice City and back
The link runs both ways. Rockstar's research team made its first trip to Miami in 2015 and later had a dedicated team based in the city, and the in-game district of Stockyard is modeled on Wynwood's mural scene. Vice City itself is Rockstar's version of Miami, now on a scale of about twice Los Santos.
